A simple way to shrink a video

Fit past size limits

Set a size target for sharing, then check whether the actual exported file meets it.

Your video stays on your device

The file is compressed in your browser and never uploaded to DojoClip, so drafts and private footage stay yours.

Preview before you download

Check faces, text, and motion in the preview and dial the amount of compression up or down until it looks right.

Free, no sign-up, no watermark

Download the smaller file with no account, no export queue, and no DojoClip watermark added to your video.

Works with the files you already have

Open MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, AVI, and more. MP4, MOV, and WebM give the most reliable results across browsers.

Fast for everyday clips

Short and medium clips compress in seconds to a couple of minutes, depending on your device.

Supported Formats

Open common video files straight from your device:

Choose a useful file-size target

Check the upload limit of the service you want to use and allow some room below it. Compression changes image and audio quality; it cannot promise lossless output or that every requested size is achievable. If a target is too small, increase it or shorten the source with the video trimmer.

Local processing, measured results

Your media is processed in this browser tab without uploading it. Keep the tab open, use Cancel to stop a job, and compare source and output sizes. Changing files or settings clears results from the old configuration.

FAQ

Is the video compressor really free?

Yes. It is free with no sign-up and no watermark. Compression runs in your browser, so there is no server bill for us to pass on to you.

Will compressing lose quality?

Some quality is traded for a smaller file, but you control how much. Start with light compression, check the preview, and increase it only if you need the file even smaller.

Is my video uploaded to a server?

No. Your browser reads and compresses the file locally, so the video never leaves your device - useful for client drafts and private footage.

Can I compress a video to send by email or on Discord?

Yes. Shrinking a clip is the usual fix for email attachment limits and chat upload caps on Discord, WhatsApp, and similar apps.

Which browsers work best?

Chrome and Edge give the most reliable results for browser-based compression. MP4, MOV, and WebM sources are the safest inputs.

Can I compress a video to a specific MB size?

Yes. Enter 0.1–2,000 MB per file (1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes). We reserve space for audio and the container, check the actual export, and may retry once at a lower bitrate. If the target is still missed, we say so and offer the smallest result. Very small targets may be impossible for a long clip.

Which format and tracks will I download?

The result shows its actual format: MP4 when supported, otherwise WebM or an MP4 fallback. Target-size mode exports the primary video and audio tracks. Resolution stays the same. Preview the video before sharing it.
