Is this video upscaler really free?
Yes. There is no account, credit charge or added watermark. The browser downloads the model, but your video stays on your device.
Make a smaller video clearer with AI. Enhance the full video on your device, then watch and download the finished result. Free, with no upload, account or added watermark.

Use a current browser with video encoding support. AI also requires a compatible graphics processor.
WebSR 0.0.16 runs locally with pretrained Small or Medium networks. Animation weights originate in Anime4K; real-life and 3D weights were retrained by WebSR’s maintainer, Sam Bhattacharyya. The model enlarges frames 2×, then fits them within 1920 × 1080 (or portrait). Model files download from DojoClip, with a verified public-storage backup. Your video is never uploaded.
WebSR 0.0.16 · MITLearned enhancement can improve edges and apparent detail, but it cannot guarantee the original detail or fix severe blur. Inspect faces, text and movement for artificial textures or flicker. A higher pixel count alone does not establish better quality.

Yes: 1280 × 720 becomes 1920 × 1080, and portrait 720 × 1280 becomes 1080 × 1920. Smaller videos enlarge by at most 2×: 640 × 360 becomes 1280 × 720. Output fits a 1920-pixel long edge and 1080-pixel short edge. This release does not export 4K.

Use an SDR video that your browser can decode, usually H.264 MP4, MOV or WebM. AI needs WebGPU; standard resizing does not. HDR and wide-gamut inputs are rejected. Capacity and speed depend on your device, storage and browser codecs; there is no fixed duration or file-size cap.
AI uses pretrained WebSR networks to enhance frames. Standard resizing uses interpolation without an AI model. Choose the processing mode before starting the full video.
Yes. Keep the primary audio track or export silently. The source frame timestamps are preserved, including variable frame rate. Output prefers MP4, with WebM when needed. Video is re-encoded; the download is not lossless.
