Review and edit fields
Use a four-digit year and a positive whole track number, such as 3 rather than 3/10. If reading failed, enter the information manually.

Choose cover art
Import JPG/PNG or use Remove cover. Prepare the image crop beforehand; there is no artwork editor.

Download and verify
Keep the tab open. Check the filename, play the download and reopen it to inspect tags. Download again after edits.

Audio inputs and saved formats
MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A and FLAC normally retain their container. AAC targets M4A; WMA targets MP3. If direct writing fails, an MP3 fallback may run. Format and codec support still apply.

Example: organize a demo recording
For track03-final.mp3, set Title to Morning Walk, Artist to your performing name, Album to Acoustic Demos, Year to 2026 and Track to 3. Add a cover and use Comment for a version note. Save, then confirm the title and album grouping in your music player before tagging the next demo.

MP3 metadata questions
Does my audio leave my device?
No. Reading and writing happen locally. Save the download before replacing the source, refreshing or leaving; the page does not save a cloud project.
Why might the cover look different or be missing?
Players support artwork differently. If an MP3 fallback was needed, an existing embedded cover may not carry over. Supply the JPG/PNG again and save another copy. Check the actual file in your player.
Can I edit a WMA file?
You can select WMA, but tag reading or preview may fail. Export attempts a tagged MP3 instead of WMA and can still fail if the source cannot be decoded.
Will editing tags overwrite the original or rename it?
No. The source remains unchanged. The Title field changes embedded metadata, not the source filename. The downloaded copy has -tagged in its name.
Does saving preserve audio quality and every tag?
Compatible audio can be copied during direct writing. Fallback re-encodes to MP3, which can change quality and size. Unsupported or custom tags may not survive; keep the original and check important fields.
Are lyrics automatically found or synchronized?
No. Enter lyrics as text. This does not search a music catalog, transcribe audio or create timed karaoke lyrics. Players may not display every field.
Can I edit an album in one batch?
No, work on one file at a time. There is no fixed file-size or duration cap, but large audio or artwork can exceed browser memory or format support.
