Does the result stay a GIF?
Yes. The output is a GIF, so you can use it where an animated image is required. It is not converted into a video.
Make your GIF smaller, check the animation and download the result.
Processed on your device. No upload, account or watermark.
GIF up to 20 MB and 1 minute.
If a website asks for an image below 2 MB, enter 2 as your target. After compression, check both the reported size and the animation. A smaller file is useful only if the text and action still make sense.
If the target was not reached, try a larger limit or begin with a shorter animation. If the result is already small, keeping the original may be the better choice.

You can enter a target from 0.01 to 20 MB, or leave it blank for automatic compression. The tool tries to meet the target and reports the actual result. Some GIFs cannot reach a very small target; the result will say when it has not been reached.
It can reduce the number of colors or the image dimensions. Compare the animation, small text and gradients before downloading. Compression is not guaranteed to be lossless, and an already optimized GIF may not become smaller.
The full animation keeps its frame timing, transparent areas and loop setting. Frames are not removed and the picture is not cropped. The receiving app can still control how it displays or repeats a GIF.
Choose one GIF up to 20 MB and one minute per play. Very large images or GIFs with many frames can exceed processing limits even below those caps. Try a shorter or smaller source if the file cannot be processed.
Compression and download are free without an account or added watermark. The GIF is processed in your browser. Processing resources may load first, but the selected GIF is not uploaded.
