How to place a photo over video
Add a photo layer
Click Add photo and choose a file. Repeat for another photograph; the picker within a selected layer replaces that photo.

Select each picture, resize and position its box, then adjust opacity. Play the clip to check that the subject stays visible.

Example: compare a restored chair with its earlier condition
Keep a “before” photo in a corner of a 15-second video showing the restored chair. At 100% opacity, viewers can compare the upholstery without the moving background showing through. Play the clip and move the picture if the chair passes behind it.
Use a photo that already includes the detail you want: enlarging a tiny source will not recover sharpness. This places a still over footage rather than inserting a separate photo scene.

Can I add photos to video for free?
Yes. No account or credits are required, and no extra DojoClip watermark is added.
Are my photos or footage uploaded?
No. Files, preview and rendering stay on your device. The page may download processing code. Save the MP4 before leaving; there is no saved cloud project.
Can I add more than one photograph?
Yes. Each photo has separate placement and opacity. Add photo creates a layer; the selected layer’s picker replaces its photo. Assign or delete empty layers before export.
Can I use a cutout photograph?
Yes, when the file already has transparent areas, such as a PNG or WebP cutout. The tool does not remove a photo background. Reducing opacity fades the subject and background together.
Does adding a photo make it move or change shots?
No. The photograph stays fixed for the full clip while the video plays behind it. There are no timed entrances, motion tracking or AI photo animation, and no second moving-video layer.
What affects export quality and compatibility?
MP4 export needs compatible decoding and encoding. Quality, size and frame rate may change. There is no fixed input cap, but memory limits apply. One video exports at a time.
Why does a portrait photo look narrow in a wide box?
The complete photograph fits inside its box while keeping its proportions. A tall portrait therefore does not fill a wide rectangle. Resize the box for a useful layout; there is no crop or rotation control here.
